    Originally the Waterstone's logo was cut by, I think, Jeremy Tankard, under commission from Newell&Sorrell (interbrand) so it is/was a custom logo not a case letter.

    I can't say for sure that this is still the same identity as this was being done at Newell&Sorrell in about 1995/6 so it may have undergone further redesigns since then.
