First time I went to Bflo I was awestruck at the number of abandoned historic buildings that were available - just beautiful some of them, in real need of saving. The people I met said that the place boomed in the first few decades of the 20th century, but then no more money came in, so downtown blocks didnt keep getting redeveloped and theres a whole wealth of 1910- era commercial buildings there that would ahve been demolished in other towns. Parts of downtown are like a museum - the fact that no current business is there just emphasises the timely architectural features - I'd recommend anyone with even a passing interest in architecture or design to go and wander around downtown buffalo, honestly it's one of my favorite places in the states, a decaying gem.
- All I remember of Buffalo was seeing lots of gun stores. oh, I bought a H-Street Matt Hensley board there too.********
