LOL@moth. I hear your pain as I'm in the same position, but I recently have been forced into the OPPOSITE of you. I'm going from 10+ years of Mac to a shitbox PC.
- How in the fuck do I set ALL of my folders to display in a list (none of this XP bullshit giant icon display thank you) alphabetical A-Z?
- Why the hell are the menu's at the top of the window and not the top of the screen? I go to hit "File" and my mouse zips past it 12 times before finally landing on it so I can click. On a mac I can just 'flip' the mouse to the upper left and be within a few pixels of where I want to be.
- HOW IN GOD'S NAME DO I TURN OFF THIS NIPPLE THAT'S IN BETWEEN THE 'G' AND THE 'H'?!? on this laptop? For 5 days my cursor has been inadvertantly zipping all over the screen and I just figured out it's because as I type my fingers hit this stupid thing and it shoots the cursor off mark.
- How do I default to "Folder View" and not that shitty blue gradient picture structure crap that does me no good on the left side of the open folder? I want to see the structure with arrows next to folders that contain content. Now the folders don't differentiate themselves from one another when one is full of files and another is not. So I click on one that has nothing in it and WFT I click out to go back having to use the fucking back button. This is unacceptable.
- Is there a dock or do I have to go to the Start menu every fucking time I want to open something? Don't tell me I have to drag shit onto the desktop as an alias then click on that to open it. I WANT MY FUCKING DOCK BACK OF APPLICATIONS I USE EVERYDAY!
- start/all programs >.... enough said. Can't I have a quickly accessed folder in a dock that opens up to show me all my available applications?
- Local Disk (C):/WINDOWS "Sorry, we're hiding all this content from you, if you came all this way to oh, I dunno, actually see the content of this folder then go ahead and click here to see what's in it. I mean heck, we don't think you clicked all this way to actually see anything in this folder anyways so we're not going to show you."
