I went through this.
Best bet is to evaluate the company strategically, and decide: "Does my company have long-standing success and trust with their clients? Is this just a sign of the times, or is this going to end in failure, with me out of a job, and no warning to start looking."
If you think the company has a good track record with their clients, and the clients are likely to pay, but are just having trouble making payment on time, then stick it through -- your company will notice your commitment and reward you for it when they can.
If your determination is the opposite, then start looking for a new place now. The last thing you want is to be left without a job, no leads incoming, and having to start the job hunt off on a bad foot.
It sounds like your situation has been worked out, but again, I've now learned to always lean towards the side of caution. And definitely be a little safer when posting, someone having a bad day could easily forward this thread to your boss.
