I would suggest doing a free internship at a really competitive agency/studio before dropping that chunk of change at full sail.
I have looked at their brochures and considered it myself in the past. hands on trial and error in a work atmosphere is FOR ME the best way to learn. I was always able to find internships that didn't pay but offered a huge knowledge transfer. The great part is that you are making biz contacts and relationships while you learn.
I would intern by day and tend bar or wait tables at night. Thats how I got to where I am today.
