@mono Yes, this is why every person needs to ask themselves what is the most logical. Do I think that the universe and all that's in it was spontaneously formed out of nothing? Could the great deal of order and complexity in the universe have been formed out of complete chaos? And if so what does this mean for me? Is there no purpose to my existence? Or do I believe there was a designer behind everything that exists? Do I believe I was created for a purpose?
If you agree that the universe could be "result of something intelligent" why not God? I think most of us simply want an ambiguous force instead of God, impersonal, something that requires no commitment to believe in. We want to live our lives the way we see fit. Which is why I believe many people cant be "tied down" to believe in a personal God.
