im sure ive said it before on a guitar thread on here previously ....
but, guitarists are like photographers, always on the hunt for the most expensive newest bits of kit to brag about - when really, some of the cheapest kit can produce just as wonderful results.
i know its about the feeling of it in your hands and how it plays, sounds and lasts and that there is a difference between like a £20 acoustic and a £200 acoustic.
But is there REALLY much of a noticeable difference between £200 and £2000 thats worth spending the extra on?Personally, i dont think so
it's all about the bragging i reckon.
a good guitar doeth not maketh a good guitarist.ive been playing bass guitar (and guitar) since i was 16 (now 33) and the bass ive got is the same one i had 12+ years ago - a yamaha one. cant fault the thing, was only a few hundred quid and has lasted stupidly well.
on the guitar front ive got a gibson les paul copy - again, a few hundred quid, and its lasted 10+ years too and is stll going strong and sounding good.- Nobody cares what bass players think. Or even if.boobs
