Yesterday on the radio I heard a very interesting story of the CEO of TCF bank, Bill Cooper, actually refusing bailout money from the US government. Apparently TCF bank has been doing just fine on it's own even in the current recession. Yet for some reason the government felt the need to give them $361 million dollars.

He is quoted ad saying "we didn't need it".
Money was returned. Talk about waistful spending! In the interview he talked about his main fear being the US government flexing it's muscle and making decisions about how they should run their bank if they accepted the money.

I hope I am not the only one who gets angry about this. Our money is being thrown around like it's grows on f'ing trees. I just started reading the "American Recovery and Reinvestment
Act of 2009’’ and completely agree with GetRefresh, Obama straight up lied because this thing is full of earmarks. Some of the stuff I am reading is seriously pissing me off.

    • one man's earmark is another man's budget for his business t, you know create jobs and shit.DrBombay

    • I'll agree with that. But it doesn't change the fact that Obama lied. Plus there is plenty of other crap in here that is not going to do anything for the economy.designbot
