Yesterday on the radio I heard a very interesting story of the CEO of TCF bank, Bill Cooper, actually refusing bailout money from the US government. Apparently TCF bank has been doing just fine on it's own even in the current recession. Yet for some reason the government felt the need to give them $361 million dollars.
He is quoted ad saying "we didn't need it".
Money was returned. Talk about waistful spending! In the interview he talked about his main fear being the US government flexing it's muscle and making decisions about how they should run their bank if they accepted the money.http://www.associatedcontent.com…

- I knew how much, so did a lot of people, but they weren't included in the budget. Now they are.DrBombay
