    so can anyone answer my question above? its been bugging me for a few weeks.

    nobody seems to ask why they are suing. we know why in the sense that - they are trying to go after people who share music

    but why are they allowed to sue people for all music they don't own? what am i missing? surely they don't own the rights all music so therefore there must be a list of groups they can sue for damages- no?.

    and furthermore, what do they do with the money that they are suing people for - should it not be split up amongst the artists who's songs were downloaded by the perpretrater? this thought along the line of why can an organization collect money off theft of property that is not theirs?
