    There has never been a linear correlation between the RIAA losing money and P2P networks. The RIAA claims are bogus in that regard. Furthermore, many non-RIAA music labels are actually encouraging the P2P model, because it means less money spent on advertising. Thirdly, the RIAA claims that downloading music is theft, however, theft occurs when someone is DEPRIVED of the thing that is stolen. In the case of downloading mp3's, the music is not STOLEN, it is COPIED, which is entirely different. Fourthly, they are invading our freedom from search and seizure by contacting ISP's and demanding they hand over their records. And there's more, lots more..
