Rene, its not a commercial piece. Its personal work. My personal project this year is GM hybrid botany illustrated in traditional Georgian style. A lot of GM vegetation is spliced with animal DNA (GM Tomatoes contain scorpion DNA for example) so i thought I'd illustrate that modern phenomenon. That piece is part Magnolia part Crayfish... Cichorieae Malacostraca of the order Asterales/Decapoda.

Its the piece I fucked up yesterday when I sprayed the wrong fixative and bleached the middle out. I decided to abandon it, but I just thought I'd whack it in 'New Work' to see what kind of responses it did or didn't get. Its only about halway done but I added some botanical lettering and roman numeral annotations on it this morning and stuck it in a frame.

    • Cool, thanks for the low down.
Gene manipulated hybrid botany is a great subject.
