i used it about 2 years ago to test out some php stuff with apache on redhat 7...
worked well... for an emulator it wasn't that slow really... it runs x86 code on an x86 proc though so it's gonna be faster than other emulators and stuff (ie: VPC for mac which runs x86 code on a powerpc proc = not native at all = why it runs so slow).worked well.. everything was supported... not a direct replacement for a real computer IMO... pc parts are cheap now so it almost pays to build another one instead....
good thing though, if you f*ck up an install you can just drag the virtual hard drive to the trash and start over... also you can suspend your session so you never have to reboot your virtual computer, just open a saved session.
