I hated it when I bought my first mac and wrote similar rants on forums (including this one), people said "your mind is stuck in Windows world, you need to drop your sick old habits and let the happiness flourish" or something to that effect. This only made things worse, as you can guess :)

Still, I'd say some of your gripes are based on being used to certain Windows behaviors. Someone who only used mac for years simply wouldn't understand you at all.
I've been using OSX for 3 years now, I am comfortable using Windows but must say I find OSX superior at this stage.

    1. You're absolutely right, for someone used to Windows mouse acceleration OSX's is terrible. With some speeds the mouse can move slower than the cursor on the screen but it gets very fast on once you move it faster. Annoying I know. There is a lot of software to take care of this issue, my choice is USB Overdrive.

    2. I just dragged an image from Firefox to Bridge and then from Bridge to Photoshop to check that. It works. Drag your file onto the application icon in Dock, not the application window.

    3. I use alt to access Polish characters on the keyboard, so moving alt away from space bar is annoying as fuck for me.
I remapped the keys to behave just like they do in Windows.

Simply go to System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Modifier Keys...

    4. Yes! The biggest OSX trap ever. As a Total Commander user from Windows, I use Forklift most of the time instead of Finder - it actually asks you if you want to merge or overwrite.
