  actually if you compare the specs closely, the only real difference between the 8600 and the M60 is the graphics card and the case design.
  They both have WUXGA screens, 7200 RPM HDD, 2G RAM capacity.
  Dell does not list the board models, but I have a feeling they share the same mobo.

  Since I am a potential buyer I am nitpicking, but these are sweet laptops and I finally realized I don't need a gigantic workstation to write actionscript. He he.
