On a personal note I don't recommend the Burton Mint (considered a starter boot). I started off using these a few years back and I found them really uncomfortable, stiff and I constantly had to tighten the laces.
ThirtyTwo are a good boot brand.
Like the posts before say, support your local stores. If your in London LCB are a good bet. Friendly staff who know their stuff because they actually board.
