    i did this.

    and it absolutely SUCKED for a year and a half. no pay, crazy deadlines, insane CEO / owner.

    but, we have investors now and i get a chunk of change every month - and a percentage of profit after my salary reaches an 'acceptable' level (the CFO said $100K+).

    so. it can be a bitch in the beginning. but it could also pay off big time.
