Further to an earlier post by Fariska, when I was 15 I was sitting on a bus on the way home from school. The girl sitting in front of me had a broken right arm and was practising writing lefty and had been doing so for a week or so. I decided to take a peek and read this:
“Behind me is a guy who I’m, I guess you could say, infatuated with. I think he would be really cool and nice and I think we would have lots in common.”
That was one of those moments in life. I will always remember it like it was yesterday. She was lovely, but I guess at 15 I didn’t have the cognitive capacity to man-up and talk to her. I used to smile and nod – once I said hello, but that was it. I wonder what would have happened if I had done something about it.
Her name was Chloe.
