The top 1% of people in the US (in regards to financial wealth) accounts for 20% of the overall wealth in the country.
There hasn't been that big of a disparity in wealth distribution since 1929...
Yes, 1929.
And things got really swell economically around 1929 when there was a similar situation.
Does that mean, that we're doomed as long and fierce of a depression?
Who knows.
It is an interesting observation though.
