i just flew in an a320 on saturday
i was flying with a girl who is terrified of flying...she actually cried on take-off. anyways...before the flight, she goes "hey there's our pilot" ... to which i replied "no.....way.....are you serious????? i just saw that guy downing beers in the parking lot".
everyone laughed...she looked terrified though...dont think she even heard anyone else laughing

- i was trying to lighten the mood by joking around with her... once i realized it wasn't helping i tried explaining everything that was happening to help herkinetic
- about the plane and how everything was fine and if it wasn't the stewardesses wouldn't look so calmkinetic
- you can't joke about it. It never lightens the mood. makes it all more gallows like...TheBlueOne
