Dobs is correct on this; rules for FMT are as follows:
1.) the FMT is to be dated for the upcoming Friday, hence this week's Friday is the 16th
2.) Dobs has used the correct date sequence here: 011609
flavorful and the Brits and such all tried to change this, but it's been quietly decided to keep it as it was
3.) The FMT is allowed to start "casually on Wednesday, but never earlier than say Tuesday afternoon.I got tricked into posting in the other thread earlier D:

(Jan 14, 09, 8:39 p.m.)Flavourful & The Brits.... that sounds like a band name, haha.
But seriously, the only format that should be accepted and followed is the following:
FMT YYYY MM DD ...
Where "DD" = The Friday of the particular week.
It's the most diplomatic across the different ways we all write out dates, and ... well being an engineer it also makes the most sense.
These are the things that drive me to drink.
That and breathing.
So yes, it's still quietly kept up to the person who starts the FMT each week, but I'd be remiss if I didn't bring up common sense from time to time. :D
- As an engineer, doesn't it make more sense to put the most important information, the month and day, first, instead of the year which everyone knows?ukit
- the year, which everyone knows??ukit
- Putting the year first is just weird:Pukit
