Yeah definitely give it a go, you start of rubbish but if you stick it out, the difference from where you start to where you end up is ace to look back on. Especially with the 1 min pose work.
Best model we had was a curvy girl who was in early pregnancy at the start of the year but kept coming back to pose. So got to draw her until she popped the bub's.
Also used to get this dude who was tramp, he smelt like cheese and sweaty balls, classes where always on Friday morning so you would roll in still drunk from the night before to be confronted by a stinky man in a confined space.
