i worked doing dishes in a dining hall at Plattsburgh State in NY, where i attended college for a couple years. But not just dishes; dealing with all the trays that would come in from the dining hall. Heaped high with food that had been piled, smashed, strewn, smeared and otherwise made a mess of by 18-20 yr olds who were just finding their "independence" (meaning they felt like they could do whatever they wanted, at least in this situation).
What's worse is they were on a conveyor belt; and endless stream of filth that it was my duty to manage.
i lasted 3 days until i told the boss i couldn't do it any longer.
