It's so messed in with coaches in sports now - they seem to get fired just for the sake immediate change and satisfying an unknowledgeable and unrealistically impatient fan base.
What better coach is out there available than Mike Shanahan?
I'm not saying that nobody will be able to step in and do a great job... but on paper, who out there would you rather have than him (if you're the Broncos of course)?
