I know a guy who is, after 7 years of abstinence, back on 2 packs a day, unfiltered. for some it is indeed like heroin, others don´t seem to have much of a problem with quitting.

it´s quite complex thing; predispositions, individual personality stuff and so forth, it´s not simply about mental discipline. and then there´s worse things than the reduced life-span from smoking. the health issue would only account for something if you would eliminate all other vices too, the alcohol, the food, lack of exercise, stress. seems kinda pointless to just change the habit for another one, like with gum, working out or whatever.

I agree with e-pill´s first statement, the thing about enjoying life, smoking or not smoking. with his 2nd post, the one with the pussy remark, not so much.
