    NO.

    If you have no experience do not learn 2.0 first. That would be a SERIOUS waste of time and effort. Just get a good book for beginners for 3.0 and crush through it gradually. Then step up to the Colin Moock book and some Design Patterns books.

    I'm currently about half-way through the ActionScript 3.0 Bible. I've got five AS3.0 books on my shelf, and it's been the easiest to read and learn through.

    Also, the O'Reilly "Learning ActionScript 3.0" is a good starter book as well, but I found the AS3.0 Bible far more effective.
