OH, also. My kid's school has implemented this new system for snow days and other emergencies. It's basically the equivalent of a mass email, but on the phone. It rings all the phones in it's database and plays a message about the alteration to the school day.
One wrinkle in the plan; the first call we got was at 5:41am telling us that school was 2 hours late (i had only been asleep for 2 hrs at that point). Once we had sufficiently grumbled about the early-ness of the auto-call and gone back to bed, on the precipice of slumber, the second call came telling us that school was canceled.- Robo-call at 5:41 AM is brutal...
