    £200-400 ?? That honestly won't buy a good acoustic.
Electrics have better guitars for that price range.

For that price a Yamaha would be your best bet.
Fender do have a few decent models for that price, but they are not as good sounding as other for that price range. Fender though does have good quality for that range. It's the sound that's rather dull and with no sustain.

I'm a fender dude but admit their acoustics aren't great.
I also owned a Martin that was about 1300 us. Great sound, sustain and build.

For acoustics Taylor would be my favourite, but those babies cost over 2000 grand. Guild are good too. Look at Martin if you can. They are pricey as well, but they have some relatively affordable alternatives. Perhaps you should look into Washburn too. I hate those guitars, but got the chance to play a couple of them and they sounded and felt pretty good.

You first options should be Yamaha and Takamine.
And also look around for Martin and Fender as you might find something worth paying for in the 350–500 range.
