Eesh, NEVER rely on mathematics! :)
Best DIY it for practical reasons, anyway - allowance for label thickness and whatever fixing-device you intend to employ (assuming you're not having them pre-glued, that is) and slack for ease of slipping-on.
Maybe it's just me, but this is the kind of thing I find quite fun, so turn off your computer, get onto the cutting matt and enjoy your crafty afternoon!
