    Don't forget to put the start at the front and the end at the back. Save the most shocking part for the very last page. Half way through your book people's minds will wander so it pays to have a dream sequence or something similar to change the pace and reinvigorate interest.

    Pictures are a good idea in reference books and children's books but tend to feel a little tacky in adult literature fiction.

    If you print your book in lemon juice the reader will assume it is completely blank until they warm the pages carefully over a naked flame. This is good for mystery and intrigue but bad for safety and ease of use.
