Studderine — Good point, not only that, I over heard the other day two teenage girls (14/16) bickering that one of their friends had photoshopped photos of herself to appear slimmer. Its almost strange now to meet teens and those in the early 20's whom don't know how to use Photoshop. Im not claiming Photoshop is 'THE' design tool, however kids are getting themselves familiar with this software from a very early age.

Ukit — Technically they appear more than capable of producing work to standard with WK. Im sure they run the same software as WK, use the same machines and drink the same coffee.

Now going back to the teen girl in her bedroom learning Photoshop. Its very 'cool' to have the Adobe CS Suite on your computer, kids spend hours creating websites for recreational purposes, importing video and editing video, designing posters for a mates band. Coming from a Graphic Design point of view, they can indeed spend years of their teens learning Illustrator, Photoshop etc. but what they wouldn't learn, possibly, is the key, root fundamentals of what clear and communicative Graphic Design is. They could very easily post themselves on the internet as a designer, pleasing clients and making money whilst at the same time undercutting every design studio in town.

    • this is somewhat true. there are plenty of kids who i went to school who call themselves "designers"studderine
    • they charge clients 1000 bucks for a full business system. the client is happy, they get paid. so in the end..studderine
    • its not really hurting anyone.studderine
