I'm a commercial photographer and over the last few months advertising budgets have dropped significantly. Meaning fewer jobs are being handed out to fewer shooters. Magazines are folding all over the place so the editorial jobs are becoming scarce too. The studio I took a full time position with has some strong relationships with the bigger retailers in the country (and the US), so I'm hoping that these clients will weather the storm and I can just ride it out on their back.
Keep in mind that there are far more design positions available than photographers, so I consider myself luck to be able to pay the bills at this point.
