I run a PC 2.66 P4 and a 17 inch pbook, the P4 launches most applications much faster than the PC, but the mac importing a 300dpi Illustrator file into photoshop is about 300x faster, both sporting 1 gig of ddr 333 ram. I also never ever crash on the mac since ISX came and saved my life. I guess if you want to open software really fasty a PC is the way to go, but if you have to finish your work, you can'r beat a mac...I am so anxious to do some real world tests on a G5, I am sure its going to blister the competition in "real world" workflow
