I would experiment with different backgrounds. Also, the photo is terrible. It's overexposed and making you have a flat result in your illustration. I would take a series of pictures. I'm sure she's a much prettier girl than that photo would suggest also. Give more detail to the hair. Check some of Brooke's work: http://www.lifeinvector.com
