    we're commercial artists. due to the job we'll 'generally' solve briefs with what's relevant at the time. many of these solutions will be trends. granted this isn't always the case but the more media-hyped briefs will be - soft drinks, movie artwork, major media company brands, etc.

    if you're all about innovating then you're either wanting to be an artist or you just read one of david carson's books and figured you're next to blow us all away with a collection of the same stylings applied to various unrelated clients. (btw it always makes me feel good that as good as i think carson was, that first Bush cd cover + logo are worse than my worst job ever).

    just my 2 cents. i'm probably wrong.
