Honda- I'm all for the G5. I have two windows machines but am an ex-mac guy. I think it's great you're getting one and am sure the photoshop issue in-store is some stupid setting they have for public use in that situation. A friend of mine has an older dual G4 and it is a lot faster than my P4 1.5 ghz. The hardware quality is excellent too. No latency on soundcard, good RAM, good motherboard. I'm paying the price with PC shit by not getting good hardware right away. I have to replace my motherboard, RAM, and processor just to allow the new vid card to work right.
The only concern of mine is Apple's reputation with first round releases. The rule of thumb with them is usually wait until the revised version comes out, but in this case a few of us (ie. you, Honda) have to be the guinea pigs. And you'll probably be a very happy guinea pig. There are no DLLs in osx. :)
