?arlo have you read the entire post? i'm the one who started the thread. G5 should be in our home in about 30days. its the whole anxious thing thats getting me. all that will change once it is here *crossing fingers*. im elated, but you know, just not so sure about what i am about to do.
really wish there were some tech geeks on here that were apple users. then i can exchange intelligent "nerdihood" conversation from one brotha to the next. they could ease my mind a bit. cmon, its something completely different for me. i know all there is or that can be done to my pc. clueless when it comes to the mac realm. and simple shit like "it looks cool" just ain't gonna cut it. thats obvious. they look great. point understood. thats why i am throwing down the dough to get it.
now help me with the not so obvious: performance. hell, is it true its a tad slow or what? do i need to order one with crazy ram in it? or is 512 ok? 1.6ghz or dual 2.0? geez, at least being a pc user has helped me become more tech savvy. cmon you mac-ster's help a fellow brother of the clothe join the fold. performance?
