Mimio I think it's WAY too early to make a statement like that. If you guys want to write the Republican party off as a bunch of idiots then go for it. I know the common perception here is to vilify them, and quite frankly they deserve it.
Personally, I hope they're going to take a long hard look at this election and see that it's time to evolve. Then they'll take stock of the people within the party and base the new image off the most innovative within. I doubt they're going to champion the Palin route, she had a quick popularity spike then a sharp drop. She didn't motivate the female vote and actually I think she alienated women a bit. I could see them try to bring Colin Powell back into the spotlight simply because he's super trustworthy and highly intelligent with tons of experience. But again, I think they'd be smart to take good year and evaluate where they're at.
