  It is interesting what you've said about people being idiots. I think most people have no qualifications to take political decisions at best, to put it nicely. Even the educated ones are driven by emotions to a larger extent than they realize.
  Actually, when you give it a sober look, this is what democracy is: rule of a dumb crowd.

  Imagine an airplane where the pilot does what the passengers vote for - this is exactly what democracy is..

  The crowd is driven by emotions controlled by spin doctors - probably that's why it is working :)

  But I'm in no way saying it's the worst thing or that I have a better solution ready. I actually believe I live in the best times in history =]
