tax them to the levels they were taxed under america's most fiscally successful administration in recent memory you mean? the one which didn't completely screw up the global economy by giving free reign to business way beyond healthy capitalist principle?
widening the gap between rich and poor and cutting off massive swathes of a population from the opportunity a system should give them, in terms of good health and access to education, fatally damages that system, cripples its potential.
