To say a couple of pieces were ripped from 28 days later is putting it mildly but 28 days later also ripped from various books and films such as 'Day of the Triffids', Night/Dawn/Day of the Dead but it was stitched together to make it a cohesive film.
I watched 28 days and thought 'oh thats from that book, thats from this film, thats from so and so'. When I watched dead set I thought exactly the same thing, as I said, it wasn't bad but nothing that I haven't seen before.
