JazX, I don't get it man, what's your argument for defending the last eight years? Big business and Finanace is in a fucking shambles, small business (in which I am in one) is a fucking mess especially with healthcare costs, we're bleeding out in two wars - one of which was wholly unneccesary, teh Constitution has been shredded, the great US military has been outsourced and privitized to it's detriment, government has been emptied of anybody with any meaningful skillsets and filled with hack political appartchiks, the wealth gap is at Gilded Age levels and the rich have even more unprecedented access...seriously and all you can come up with as some sort of serious retort is a picture of Chamberlain and Hitler and that ACORN did it by giving black people cheap houses?
Eight, ten years ago I was arguing with my leftist friends about what ideologues they were and that the whole socialist thing was a dead end, a mirror image of industrial capitalism whether they saw it that way or not. I was pro gun, pro-choice, pro-military...in other words I was all over the map on the bullshit left/right scale. Yet somehow, here I sit, still neither left or right, but according to the views I hold about the economy, foreign policy and constitutional issues I have become a "lefty pinko god hating communist who appeasers terrorist". I want to know how the fuck that happened? How did morons who think under every rock is a small time thug who is equal to Hitler and Nazis and that anyone not willing to charge off to war, with someone else's kids, by the way, strapped to the front of small yield nuclear weapons is a pussy of Chamberlain proportions? How the fuck DID this happen? And I want my goddamn country back.
