I’m not familiar with ice-hockey since I live in Australia, but is there some extra risk due to the strenuous nature of the game and the fact that it’s played in such a cold environment?

    • usually something undiagnosed in someone of his age. either way...rip.moveinspace
    • I don't think so, my best guess is an unknown heart condition or possibly steroids (but I doubt it).T-Dawg
    • It sounds like it was not related to an on-ice incident. It's probably a heart defect that went undetected. He was an amazing young kid. RIPTHA
    • Hockey is dangerous, sure, but it sounds like some genetic thing and/or a previous condition.Jaline
    • They must have regular medical testing and exams? Could be wrong...Jaline
