I'm writing this note from my oceanview window in Cabo San Lucas. The room is worn, but clean--and might be termed "mid century modern" if it had been thrown out and replaced 50 years later with identical designer appropriations of the furnishings. I'm here to research my documentary on the outlaw mexican negro baseball leagues of the late forties and early fifties, and have spent most of my meager funding on tequila and baby laxative.
