  This is what I do:
  - Put left signal on.
  - Look behind you and to the left to make sure it's safe to move to the left.
  - If it is, straddle the road line (if your car is that large, or the cyclist is taking that much space) and keep a safe distance from the cyclist.
  - Move back to the right (I guess put your signal on if you want to) and continue to keep a safe distance between yourself and other vehicles.
  - Arrive to your destination without dying.
