After yesterday's 'upgrade from PC to Mac?' thread, I was considering starting a genuine "Mac vs. PC" thread, so that we could get some legitimate answers on the problem - not people's prejudice or assumption.

Trouble is - everyone has a vested interest, borne of their experience.

'Techies' tend to come from the Win camp, so will always promote Win over Mac, as it's what they understand. Conversely, 'designies' will generally promote Mac over Win, for the similar reasons.

Personally, I really don't think there's that fundamental a difference between the two platforms - I like them both, but all this antiWin Mac Fanboyism really gets on my tits, because it tends to be people who don't really know much about computers shouting off.

For your situation, I'd say you get the people who are going to use the computers the most to make the decision - it's a techies job to work out the mess afterwards, whilst it's your designers and developers that will have to spend all day, every day with the bloody things.

    • You have tits?! hi there :Dlocustsloth
