Nikon D700 Vs Canon ?

    14-24 is very very wide on D700. I tried it and the first thing I realized is that 24mm is actually 24mm and not 36mm. For someone who's used to using a DX camera, that's a big change. Also, with a full frame, you can get even thinner DOF so you can really get an amazing pop and subject separation as well as great color saturation. But all in all, I've heard that when you print, the difference is not that noticeable.

    D700+24-70 is the best you can get for the money at this time, i mean it's about $4500 together so it better do damn well. At J&R the guy I talked to was willing to give me a deal if I bought both together.

    So, I would recommend you buy the D700 and try out for a week. My D300 should arrive tomorrow, so you can compare the 2 and decide.
