furthermore duck_, we are all sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God. Gay people are not any worse than I am. We're all in the same pickle, so to speak. Calling something sin that the Bible calls sin is not casting stones anymore than when I tell Rybo he might want to check his attitude when asking for a crit. It's just that homosexuality is a sensitive subject. Most people don't think very clearly on the matter, but are rather governed by popular opinion. Which is especially ironic to me in a profession full of self-professed free-thinkers.

    • don't underestimate the level of conformity here. Everybody has a faith-based worldview.teleos
    • even hipster designers.teleos
    • Worth noting, I said the pastor came out with a "love thy neighbor" sermon, you said, "homosexuality is a sin."blaw
    • Sensitive subject, indeed.blaw
    • I haven't seen anything in your posts about a "love thy neighbor" sermon.gramme
    • and I don't think confronting sin in a gracious way is incompatible with loving my neighbor.gramme
    • If I were speaking specifically to a gay person in this thread, I would take a different tack...but we're discussing ideals heregramme
