My pastor has strong opinions about certain issues that are dealt with in government, such as abortion and gay rights. He would unfortunately disagree with blaw's pastor—the Bible has a pretty clear stance on homosexuality, and Jesus never said anything that could possibly be construed as "it's none of your f—ing business" on that front. Sin is sin, whether the partner is a man or a woman, he would say.

Nevertheless: my pastor never, EVER endorses a politician from the pulpit, nor would he ever believe or tell someone that their salvation hinges on how they talk about G-Dubs.

    • ...He would also say in the same breath that we are all in the same boat in terms of innate corruption—thus, it's wrong to ostracize gay people.gramme

    • recognition of one's sin is not a prerequisite for friendship with a Christian, in other words...gramme
