to me the only purpose of an MA or to go back to school for a BA would be an uninterrupted 2-4 years of making new work that is much more within the direction of where you want to go creatively. The perks is that some schools bring in designers and open doors to opportunities not normally attainable, as well as windows to different avenues of design not earlier discovered. the cons, prob not a ton you wouldnt or dont already know... going back to school sounds rad, but basically you are paying for free time to fuck around which is pimp just at a hefty price tag.
