    My biggest fear with everyone "going green" and these types of efforts is that we will rush into using these alternative energies without doing our homework. Solar power is still really expensive, and the EROEI (engergy returned on energy invested) is not that good. My question is, how many barrels of oil and how much coal will be needed to produce panels for the "solar highway" to begin with? And when will it pay (money and saved resources) for itself in energy costs?
